AADM - Extended Western Zone Seminar - 27th March 2011


Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management had organized a seminar on disaster management for its Disaster Management Volunteers of extended western zone of Mumbai stretching from Borivali to Dahanu on Sunday 27th March 2011.




 The event started at 9.45AM with arrival of Param Poojya Bapu’s Paduka which was followed by group prayers performed by all the DMVs.


Keynote address was delivered in which the aims and objectives of creating Disaster Awareness through this seminar were stressed.



The programme proceeded with presentations from DMVs on various topics related with disaster management viz., Use of I.T. in Disaster & Risk Management, Evacuation Planning, Vermiculture, Global warming, Importance of Preparedness in Disaster Management, etc. Further a Workshop on Use of Fire Extinguisher was conducted which was followed by live demonstrations on Rescue and Snake Handeling techniques in which all the DMVs actively participated





The last session of the seminar featured refreshing and devotional Satsang and Gajars. The seminar finally concluded with Upasana.












Blood Donation Camp 2011

Shri Aniruddha upasana foundation,Sadguru shri Aniruddha upasana trust,Dilasa medical trust & Rehabilation centre,Aniruddha samarpan pathak,Aniruddha's house of friends,AADM associatively organised blood donation camp at Shri Harigurugram on Sunday,3rd April 2011.

*Why to donate Blood ?

Its best for your health…Our body contains approximately 4.5 – 5 Liters of blood out of which only 300ml blood is withdrawn. Immediately after donation, within 2 – 3 hours our body produces new blood cells and thus the blood in the body gets refreshed. Thus donating blood helps in stimulating generation of new blood cells and thereby increasing our fitness and immune system of our body.

Your body should meet the following requirements before donating blood:-

*Age- Any male or female between 18 to 60 yrs.

*Weight-Above 45 kgs.

*Haemoglobin-Above 12.5%

Generally the donors are rejected due to lack of hemoglobin in blood.

* To increase the haemoglobin levels in blood, follow the below mentioned diet:

1. Green Vegetables
2. Sprouts
3. Green peas, pumpkin, tomato
4. Fruits and salads
5. Grains like Corn, wheat, raggy malt, dry-fruits, jaggery
6. Sweets like murabba (Jam), and Khir.
7.Drinking tea should be avoided.


**Care to be taken prior to blood donation:

1. Take a sound sleep at night.
2. Take your regular breakfast/meals
3. Please do not take the medicines like homeopathic/ayurvedic medicines and tablets like crocin, Disprin, Combiflam unless necessary.


*Persons suffering from following diseases cannot donate blood:-

1. Diarrheoa
2. Malaria
3. Typhoid
4. AIDS
5. Blood pressure
6. Surgery within 1 year
7. Anaemia
8. Tuberculosis
9. Cancer
10. Ladies:-
a) Abortion within 6 Mnths
b) Menstrual Cycle
c) Pregnancy
d) Lactation

** A kind request to all to give their maximum support for this Camp by donating their valued blood and also by helping spreading the word.
